BPS New Collections
I was quite free yesterday. Something came up and I just need to be outside the house. Shopping mall isn’t a good pick since I’m currently saving for something. :) So I drove to Butik Pengantin Syahirah (BPS) to pass my wedding album. Oh yeah, I just received my wedding album last week. I am so happy that all of the pictures turned out satisfactorily, just as I expected. Thanks Min sebab bertungkus-lumus menyiapkan album ni… FYI, Min dengan baik hatinya bagi STORY BOARD ALBUM! I paid for sticky album btw. Sebab dah lewat kot... Hehehe... And he also said that he would like to give us a free outdoor photo shoot which is so cool of him! I can’t upload the photos coz I haven’t received the cd yet. Tak habis touch up lagi kata Min. So I guess RM800 balance tu I bagi masa pick up cd la Min, kan? :)
Ok, let’s go back to BPS. Masa masuk butik, nampak ada dua baju baru. Berkenan sangat kat baju black & white ni…
Betul la Kurt cakap, black & white for wedding dress ni nampak smart and classy! Rasa macam nak bersanding lagi sekali la pulak! Hihi!

Inspired by Cherry Blossoms...
The idea came when I first entered to The Spring early last month. Then I went back to KL mid of this month n had my retail-therapy at Pavillion n was sooo tempted to try the Cherry Blossom bath gel from The Body Shop.
But I haven’t bought the bath gel yet. Waiting for my VS to finish. :)
So, it stumbled upon my mind that cherry blossom could probably transpire as a beautiful wedding theme, especially for the wedding dias. Boleh buat ala-ala pintu gerbang full of cherry blossoms as a dias backdrop! Then add dangling crystals or hanging flower balls. Nice….. :)
I named it as Oriental Wedding… :)
N like a twist of fate, this wedding theme is my Bridesmaid’s dream wedding concept! :D
Btw, I don’t think we have cherry blossom here, do we? But the artificial cherry blossoms r just like the real one! :D Ok here r some ideas that I found from the net, for Oriental Wedding Theme...

MI CUARTO... (it is green; not pink!)
My room was beautifully modernized by Kak Shaja n me. She did the main deco n I added some contemporary look to the room so it turned to an a la mode wedding room, rather than common scallops n whatnot.
It is practical n less dust! The later part is the most important aspect to consider as I am so allergic to dust! With that, no scallops thingy that will only pile up more dust. Kak Shaja replaced with dangling crystals n wall pictures instead. Both r from SSF. Me likey! :D
I also refused to have flowers as decorations. I prefer more candles n lil bit of rose petals. She had no problem to craft my demand.
I love every bit of the embellishment n glance of my wedding bedroom, except for one – the curtain. It was good enough to wipe out the contemporary look. Ergh! Btw, the oh-so-froggy- shade curtain was generously given by one of my aunties. Generously? Yeah right! I could have a more au courant curtain with that 400 notes!

BANYAKNYA JEMPUTAN KAHWIN...!
Wah!!! I am so surprised that many of my friends n relatives r getting married this year. Ingat kot last year je orang berebut nak kahwin. Maklum la, 2008 kan macam ong kan… Macam la… :D Haaa, yg nak bertunang pun ramai jgk! Seronoknyaaa la rasa! I am happy for them! Seronok dgr cerita org nak kahwin ni. Bukan pasal preparation je, tapi about how they first met each other… Ada yg sweet, ada yg funny, n ada jgk yg mcm…

Hehehe… Mungkin zaman sekarang ni some of us prefer kenal lama-lama dulu, then baru la kahwin, ye tak? Kadang tu bukan apa, faktor kewangan pun nak jgk diambil kira… Tapi itu la yg di namakan JODOH… Kalau Dia nak bagi, bila-bila masa je jadi. Xde hal punye lah! :D

MY HAND-TIED BOUQUET =)
One of my weird temperaments is that I hate flowers to death! I don’t understand why we ladies r so synonym with this so-called sweet-scented living being. No offense but seriously I can’t really smell the fragrant n I never appreciate flowers, which explain why Kurt never surprise me with a bouquet of red roses! Or maybe I only appreciate the prettiness of various colors in each blossom, maybe…
I prefer candles over floral. Or perhaps spreads of petals to shape a romantic ambiance. But people might think I’m mad if I walk down the isle holding a candle, n not a hand bouquet! :D

Well actually I told her that I wanted more pearls n small butterflies with fewer flowers. But I guess it’s hard to compromise my request, that I can only see one big transparent butterfly on the bouquet. I’m fine with that. The bouquet looks so sweet, don’t u think so? :) I like the lilac roses… Ouh, did I say I LIKE ROSES??? Hahha! Must be the hormone. :D

TIRED OF CADBURY & ROCHER!

Honestly, I think Ferraro Rocher is just perfect coz it looks classy yet still easy on the pocket. Cost-effective eh! N not to mention, it has this aromatic elements of the flavorings. Sedap! :D
Ok, there r scores of brands n various types of chocs in supermarket, from dark chocolate to white chocolate, mint chocolate, unsweetened chocolate, milk chocolate n not to forget, sugar-free chocolate, my… Just to name a few. N this psychoactive food also comes in several forms – bar, truffles, praline, crunches, ganache, etc. So what’s the BEST chocolate to buy for hantaran purpose?
Ok, I can name a few n I’m pretty sure they r quite familiar. I divide it into two (2) categories:-
a) Standard chocs – Cadbury, Rocher, Beryl’s, Beryl’s, Hershey’s, Kit Kat, Kinder Bueno, Mark & Spencer chocs, etc.
b) Luxury chocs – Lindt, Patchi, Fidani, Chocz, etc.
Oh yeah, even Koko Jeli n Choki Choki pun boleh dijadikan coklat utk hantaran. Y not? ;) Use ur power of creating n decorating to transform from trash to treasure! In fact nowadays, the buzzword on everyone’s lips when it comes to spending seems to be chic-onomy – chic stuffs that make u look stylish on a budget. Or at least, pricier items that worth the price!
I would say that u should ask urself first. R u into luxury chocolate? Do u bother of what people WANT to see n u don’t mind wasting ur money to impress? (Impress doesn’t mean u have to make a hole in ur purse!) Hehehe… Biasa la… Face the fact, bila beli barang-barang hantaran, mesti la nak up sikit, ye tak? Bukan apa, we always tend to have something different, tak kira la di mata kita or tetamu yg melihat.

Coz kadang-kadang terasa macam kita bukan beli Patchi chocs, but we r buying the plate! Plate tu ada yg beribu! Tapi ada jugak yg murah… :D Nak deco macam mana?

However, Patchi n Fidani r quite common nowadays. So y don’t give a crack at GODIVA!!! :D Go for the Exclusive G Collection for elegant look. But, as it falls into luxury chocs, it will definitely come with hefty price tag! :D One small bar of Godiva dark chocolate cost RM20 n a small box with less than 20 pieces inside cost ard RM100++ But if u or ur partner is a truly chocoholics, then Godiva is the ultimate dream! :D Anyways, u may purchase Godiva at KLCC, Pavillion n KLIA. N oh, don’t forget to taste the Godiva ice blended dark chocolate topped with whip cream and raspberry syrup, cost ard RM22. The taste was a gazillion times better than Starbucks and Coffee Bean chocolate ice-blended. :D
Or… If u prefer something exotic n classy, u might want to have BATEEL date chocolate truffles! Yup, kurma. Kalau tak suka kurma, nak coklat je pun ada… They also have this wedding service called customized wedding hantaran with starting price at RM150. The price can go up to RM1K! Omg… I’d rather stash it for a designer bag! :D But if u have extra cash then y not?! :D Btw, RM150 tu including Bateel chocs or date chocs plus decorations. Ada la besar pinggan makan… Bateel stores r located at Level 2 KLCC n GF Bangsar Shopping Center (BSC).

Box kecik-kecik ni pun boleh dapat di Semua House. Price lupa la... ;) Kalau box dah ada pattern, tak payah deco sangat. Letak white ribbon pun dah cukup.
Or boleh jgk letak dlm glass, wrap dgn net n ikat ribbon. Net putih cantik kot... Biar dia kontra!
Nak lagi senang, beli plastic kat kedai, masukkan chocs, ikat ribbon, letak atas dulang hantaran or dlm English white tray. Siap!
Choc bar pun boleh buat hantaran. Cumanya jarang sebab takut cair, kan? But still not a biggie, kalau ada tin kat rumah, wrap with wrapping paper yg lawa, susun choc bar mcm kat atas tu, add crumple papers around n letak ribbon seketul. :D Oh ye, nak deco Choki Choki mcm ni pun sesuai!
Haaa, Beryl's ada heart-shaped chocs mcm ni. Murah je. Kalau beli kat Beryl's factory kat Shah Alam tu, lagi murah! Box ni byk tempat ada jual. But I prefer the one kat KLCC tu, D'Nata. :)
P/S : Just be more carefull of the ingredients. Some imported chocs ada alchohol n wine.

SNEAK PEEK
I just had a talk with En. Ismail, the owner of Butik Pengantin Syahirah (BPS). He told me that some of his clients called him n asked whether I have website or not coz they would like to have a look at my solemnization n wedding dresses. They happened to notice me on magz. N to my surprise, one of his client, a Datin came to the boutique with her daughter named Salina or Salimah I can’t recall, told him that she even tried to google ‘amrina.com’ to look at the dresses! Omg. I felt down laughing! Huhu… Actually, I tot of uploading pictures from the photographer, rather than from friends n relatives’, except for Khatam n Berinai pics, they r all from FuzuriDesign. Thanks Hanie n Mr. F!

So as some of u r aware, I had FuzuriDesign as my photographer for Khatam n Berinai. Honestly, if u r looking for fresh n talented photographer to capture ur most memorable moments but will definitely won’t burst ur budget, u should hire them! Sooooo worth the penny! Hehhe… They r quite new but their finishing r simply beautiful!
Whereas, I had PrettyPeektures as my official photographer for both Solemnization n Reception. I haven’t received the pictures yet so I shall reserve my comment.
Munie Ahmad did my makeup for Khatam n Berinai. N frankly, I looooove her touch so very much! I think the makeup looked simple, sweet, natural n simply perfect! My face turned out so radiant! I like it to itsy bitsy! :D The price? Sangat berbaloi! RM150 or RM200 for BOTH events! I don’t remember the exact price. AND…, she didn’t charge me for veil n accessories! That was sooo kind of her! :D Thanks dear…
As for solemnization n reception, Kak Zetty from BPS n Karangkraf did the makeup. I favor the reception makeup though. Hehhe…
As u can see, I wore a white jubah for Khatam. Bought it in Mecca way back in 1998 if I’m not mistaken n hardly wear it. Not a jubah person. Hehhe… N guess what? I’ve been scolded by my mum for wearing it with a pair of black pants instead of a sarung or long skirt. :D Heee! I feel more comfy in pants so u know… :D
I recycled my engagement kebaya for Berinai. Jimat! It comes with a customized shoes. Both kebaya n shoes were made by En. Ismail from BPS.
The peach-colored scarf was my mum’s. She’s a loyal customer of Arzu. Hehhe… I don’t have such scarf. Tak pandai pakai tudung licin-licin ni. Kalau pakai confirm muka jadi bulat! Yikes!
N last but not least, for solemnization n reception, dari hujung rambut sampai la ke hujung kaki, semuanya from BPS.
Just so u to know, BPS will come out with this black n white theme for 2009 wedding collection. I bet its gonna be something different! I had a chance to wear it during the International Islamic Fashion Festival which was held in J.W Marriott last November. It was sooooo classic n elegant! Never tot a black-n-white wedding dress could turn out very very nice. Go check out the fabulous design!
